The new Mitre 10 MEGA is located within the Oamaru CBD on a 9,100m² site and will provide a welcome addition to the community.
The complex comprises a purpose-built retail store, indoor-outdoor garden centre, a Columbus café, a trade-specific drive-through and yard, along with associated car parking and landscaping.
John Jones Steel was awarded the contract to supply and erect the 150 tonnes of steel required for this project. Our in-house draughting team produced the shop drawings, and our Timaru workshop fabricated the steel. Then, our trucks transported the final product to the Oamaru site, where our site team assembled large sections on the ground and lifted them into place using our cranes.
