1500t of steel to be shop drawn, processed using our CNC machinery, fabricated, painted and erected all in house and in an extremely tight time frame, to achieve this we broke the project into smaller phases so we could utilise our Christchurch and Timaru workshops to fabricate and paint the steel. Steel was transported to site using our fleet of trucks.
Installation of steel started in earlier December 2017 starting with first floor steel then large roof sections that were built on the ground to minimise the amount of work required in the air. Large roof sections were lifted into position using a combination of our 100t and 25t cranes. Installation of main steel was completed the week of the 18th of June 2018.
