Te Aika

Te Aika will form a ceremonial entrance to Te Pae Convention Centre. It will stand 8 metres tall by 10m wide and weighs 2845kg, by the banks of Christchurch’s Avon River.

It has been designed to create the wow factor, with the steel frame clad in aluminium panels coated with a textured white coating designed to gleam in the light.
