Foster Park

The 9200m2 Indoor Multi Use Sports Hub features 8 courts, fitness areas and a running track suspended above the courts.

John Jones Steel was awarded the contract to supply and erect the 450 tonne of steel required for this project. Our in house draughting team produced the shop drawings, our Timaru and Christchurch workshops fabricated the steel with our paint shop applying the primer and tops coats before our trucks transported the final product to site for our site team to assemble large sections on the ground and then lifted into place using our cranes this minimises at height work and speeds up the erection process.

Once completed the indoor multi sports hub which combined with the outdoor playing fields will be the largest recreation park in the Selwyn District.
